The title is correct! Masses have resumed, but with precautions and restrictions due to COVID19 still being a real threat. These new steps are listed below:
– Firstly, there is an online registry (click here to register) where individuals can go and sign themselves up to attend mass. Those without access to the internet can also call the office where you can give your info, which will then be used to register your attendance. There will also be walk in registrations on the day of mass but it is recommended that those who can register online, should do so; for there is a limit to the amount of people that can attend mass, so doing this will confirm a seat for yourself. This also helps us in gathering the info needed in order to make these steps more accessible to everyone.
– Secondly, social distancing MUST BE PRACTICED. This means that there should be 2-3 individuals to a pew (families can sit together), every other pew at 36sqft apart (meaning 6ft horizontally and 6ft vertically). Masks should also be worn at all times. Also, individuals are to sanitize their hands before and after mass.
– Finally, when you have selected a place to sit, please remain at said seat until mass is over. All seats are to be sanitized after use so this will assist in us covering all areas that were used, while also saving us time and resources.
Following these simple steps will help us combat this pandemic and ensure that all who come to celebrate in Jesus’s name, can do so safely.
